Funeral Services for Olen Edmond Neill of Wewoka are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Bob Spears and Bro. Larry Jones officiating, with burial at Holdenville Cemetery. He passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at the age of 84 years in the Wewoka Nursing Center.
Survivors include Wife : Vida Sue (Robinson) Neill of 60 years. Sons: Ace Neill of Tulsa, Ok, Eddie Neill and wife Nelda of Wewoka, One daughter, Vicki Taylor of Wewoka. Grandchildren Stephanie Hawkins and husband Rod, Russell Neill and wife Kristin, Lecarol Neill, Shane Taylor and wife Misty, and Jenetta Taylor, nine great-grandchildren: Brother Homer Neill, sister-in-laws Christine Neill, Peggy Neill, Pat Neill, and Jean Molleur.
Olen was a graduate of Butner High School. He worked in the Oilfield as a trucker for many years and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church, Odd Fellows, and Barking Waters CB Club. He enjoyed his CB, spending time with his grandchildren, camping, traveling, and making Sorghum.
Preceding Olen in death are his parents, J.A. and Janetta (Westmoreland) Neill Brothers and Sisters: Lawrence Neill, Sam Neill, R.D. Neill, Grady Neill, James Neill, Paul Neill, Donom Neill, Ralph Neill, Faye Bibb, Allie Mae Mayfield, and Jeanne Evelyn Moore.
Pall Bearers: Glenn Abel, Butch Houser, Dan Houser, Ronnie Kessee, Larry Sawyer, and Jim Stafford. Honorary Bearers will be Jerry Boswell, Judge Sawyer, Hayes Stafford, Ronnie Stafford, and Dewey Muirhead.
