Ada-Services for Lisa Reeves of Ada, OK are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Ada, OK. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery in Center, OK. Officiating will be Rev. Pat Kilby. The family has requested that memorials be sent to the Leukemia Society 500 N. Broadway Ave, Suite 250 OKC, OK 73102 or the Children's Ministry at the First Baptist Church 521 S. Broadway Ada, OK 74820 or the Diabetes Foundation.
Mrs. Reeves died October 5, 2008 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 36. She was born January 18, 1972 in Bakersfield, CA to Sam L. Hooser and Billye Misenhimer Hooser. She married Shawn Reeves on February 25, 1995 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada, OK.
Mrs. Reeves graduated from Shafter High School in Shafter, CA in 1990 and went on to graduate from East Central University in Ada in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and also received a degree in Medical Technology. She moved from Shafter, CA in 1993 to Ada, where she had lived ever since. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was the third grade Sunday School teacher, a member of the FCA, a parent volunteer at Vanoss Public Schools where her girls attended, she was also a member of the Sisters FBCA, the American Society of Clinical Pathology, and most of all she was a loving mother.
Mrs. Reeves is survived by her husband: Shawn Reeves of the home; three daughters: Hayley, Grace, and Mallory Reeves all of the home; her father: Sam L. Hooser of Ada, OK; one brother: Sam Hooser and his wife Heather of Ada, OK; one sister: Stacy Hooser of Ada, OK; one grandmother: Viola Misenhimer of California; two aunts: Phyllis Sanders of Stratford, OK and LaWanda Cramer of Bakersfield, CA; and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Billye Hooser and her grandfather: Bill Misenhimer.
Pallbearers: Sam Hooser, Scot Reeves, Seth Reeves, Clay Jackson, Brandon Chandler, Tim Claxton, Travis Snowden, and Tanner Snowden.
Honorary Pallbearers: Pauls Valley Lab and Bruce Mahan.
